We made the floor and sis asked me if we were done yet...lol!
Attached legs to the floor.
Cross pieces for the roof.
Adding the walls and the roof basic frame.
Another angle of work.
Built the nest boxes and put on the back...

On cloud nine right now!!! The Post office called this morning and told us to come get our chicks!!! We ordered chicks from McMurray Hatchery and they all arrived alive and healthy! 17 Doms, and 10 GP. My daughter is really excited and so am I. Will post pics as soon as I can figure out how to...

Yes it is rough waiting in anticipation:he but im trying to keep my head out of the clouds and concentrate on making sure everything is 100% done and ready for arrival and make sure everything is predator proof! But I am so excited and my kids bounce off the walls and they can not wait either...
Well my fuzzy butts are ordered and will arrive the first week of May!! I ordered 7 Golden Polish Pullets, 1 GP Roo, 2 Cayuga duck Females and 1 Cayuga Drake, 2 Dom Roos, and 15 Dom Pullets from McMurrys! Ohhh how I cant wait!!
I think I will make a double decker brooder! 2brooder sections one on top of the other 3'W x 5'L x 18" H each that way I have enough room for 25 chicks by spliting the group in half , say maybe 12 or 13 chicks in each section. To start I will just use one brooder till they start getting crowded...

I have 25 chicks coming the first week of May! I am needing some dimensions for a nice brooder to build of wood and hardware cloth!

I had someone gaive me a plastic bathtub that they couldnt use in their remodeling of their bathroom! I am wanting to get at least 16 Dom chicks, and maybe 2 Cayuga ducks.
How many chicks can I brood in a standard size bathtub?
