hello, my duck has pipped and knocked some of it's shell off but i don't see a beak. it's just like a grey looking surface. it is still moving around a lot in the egg and trying to break through. should i be helping or letting it do it's thing? thanks.
hello, im hatching six ducks eggs and the humidity level keeps getting low and especially today since it's hot. im on day 18 and hoping this won't hurt them. anyone have experience with humidity level dropping and the eggs still hatching? thanks. :fl
well, they moved a few days ago so i know they *were* fertilized. i also looked at them again and the egg was changing colour. i'll just have to try again. thank you
day 28 with my cayuga eggs. i didn't see any internal pips, the only things i've seen in the last few days was one egg wobbling just a tiny bit when i would talk to it... i decided to quickly candle them since it was when i thought they should have hatched. i didn't see any pips or movement when...
@bydhatch thank you! they haven't, can't even see a internal pip. so when i candle, what should i be looking for this time? and set them on the washcloth when candling you mean> thanks!
@abidaby no, I'm wondering if they aren't going to hatch :( one has been wobbly when I talk but at this point seems to be taking too long. I don't even see any pips . :(
@WVduckchick yay! thank you *so* much! I'm such a newbie so I needed all this information! my eggs do look like that, they aren't position that well in the incubator so it's hard to get the light and see all the angles. i have the magicfly that can fit 12 eggs. some say janoel on it i think...
@WVduckchick so i can tell the egg moved a little bit but i haven't seen any pips! should i worry yet? i feel like something more should have happened in the last few hours...
@abidaby @bydhatch @WVduckchick so i just checked and i noticed slight wobbling from one of my babies!!!! just wondering, if two hatch and they imprint on me, will they be fine together for a few hours while i'm in school? how does it work? i want them to be house ducks!
