Hi everyone, my hen is broody again and she is a fantastic mother. I'm going to pick up some eggs tomorrow and set them underneath her. If anyone else is setting under a broody, let me know,
I have always had chooks growing up, and my kids had had 1 or 2 over the years, but it wasn't until 6 months ago that my interest in the different breeds grew. At the moment I have a silky and frizzle that are both laying, 14week old buff Sussex, Sussex and australorp. I did my first incubation...
It's been a sad night tonight as I lost my 5 week old chick called 'Crimson'. I'm at a loss to explain why.....I fed and watered my chicks this morning and sat and watched them for a while and never notice anything was wrong... This afternoon at about 4.30pm my daughter noticed she was standing...

I just did my first incubation...and there was a time I didn't think any would hatch....but I got 22/26. I did have to help 2 after 24hours ( they had pipped externally but after 24 hours had not progressed) I read so much on here about assisting and it is sooooo true, they came out fine. I...
So I have some more piccys of my chicks at 3 weeks. The barred rocks and golden laced wyandottes. I would like to know what sex you guys think they could be. I thought they were all roo's but after reading some of the info on the forums I think they could be girls.....it would be nice if they were
