How should I go about letting my Khaki Campbell eggs hatch? The mother is and has been laying on them constantly and the 28 days is about up. Should I leave the hatchlings in with the momma or take them in and raise them myself? Also, should I separate my drake from them?
I just went outside to check on her, she seems to have most of her quack back....but just to be safe I will keep her feed soft for the next few days and a close eye on her.
I'm not sure she actually ate a bee...but I do see several kinds of bees flying around there pen (wasp, yellow jacket, honey bee, etc.). I went out to check on her and she had some improvement with quacking. I will try the oatmeal remedy, and I'm not aware of any vet offices that care for birds...
When she tries to quack all that comes out is a wheezing sound, on occasion she can get a quack or two out. I do not have a drake, all three of my ducks (raised together) are about a year old. She seems to be acting just fine otherwise.
Yeah...I started yesterday, but I dont have much to do but tie a few things down...my grandpa got a total overkill generator that could power a house and a half< so his house is pretty much the hurricane fortress
