Hmm. Yeah whichever is the sinus infection. According to the vet it would allow me to return the bird to the flock and she would not be able to transmit it to the others, it was a form of Sinusitis.
So I went ahead and took her to the vet as I didn't want to try my hand slicing her up ( I tried using a needle and determined it was too hardened, my guess was correct.) They ended up having to do surgery and cut a 1 cm incision on both sides, finding the puss inside to have hardened over time...
Okay so I think that's the right track. The only problem is the size and location as hers is directly under the eye and the swelling size in mine is massive. I tried my best but it just crushed her eye so I tried using a needle, But not much luck either. This thing may take a scalpel or...
I have a Japanese who has been this way since March. The vet believes it is bacterial and I have been doing nasal flushes using a round tip needle through both nostils with a mix of saline and Tylan 50. She still eats and drinks fine.
The bird has yellow puss discharge and gunk from both eyes...
Please help. I'm worried about my young girl, she just started laying eggs and has had these hard, puffy lumps above her nose and this white sore in her mouth for 3 weeks now, I have tried Noromycin injections twice 3 days apart, then Vet RX after and neither had much effect. I'm not sure what...
The owner is a bird shower and gave her surplus to another person. They gave me the number of the owner and she was able to tell me. I was gonna post more photos but Twolfe got it. It isn't a porcelain. Thanks for the help everyone!
Hey everyone. I have been waiting for Texas A&M to contact me because my PT certificate is about to expire. I had someone come out and test last year but with the antigen outage does anyone know of any updates? I planned to become my own tester but no new class offerings or updates on antigen...
Hello all. I have had a terrible stroke of luck lately. I had a raccoon terrorizing my chickens. Then we had some violent storms come and destroyed the chicken coop I just built to safeguard them and I found chicken tracks near the road (chicken traveled 3 acres.) I asked around but I'm pretty...
I found my seabright dead with her jaw eaten out rather clean and no other injuries. She was 2 years old. A rat maybe? Any tips on how to catch the little bugger?
Sadly it didn't make it. We tried sugar and a cold cloth but it didn't work and the little one died overnight. I appreciate everyone reaching out to help and keep in mind this forum has helped me save many in the past, so every bit helps!
Here is an update of the little guy doing better. He still puts his head down, but I'm wondering if that's not because he has gotten used to it. He left me a present on the floor I'm not happy about but the tuna in water is doing the trick and he now eats on his own, and I'll keep it up for a...
I meant micrograms, I went ahead and stopped giving it to him and have been feeding him tuna with water to help him drink. His neck is still drooping, and he can't drink just water well, but he eats on his own.
