Accidentally dropped egg on incubation day 16

New Skin is a product for putting over small cuts or sores on ones skin. Yes I have also heard of people using scotch tape and yes I think it can be just regular scotch tape

Accidentally dropped egg on incubation day 16

I used New Skin this year and that seemed to work well but it wasn't too bad of a crack. For the bleeding try corn starch or a quick stop product for dog toenails

    Incubator or Broody hen?

I vote both. I've had chickens since 2009 or so and have had broodies hatch out chicks. I decided to get a small incubator just to see if I was able to hatch out my own eggs. Once I was successful with my own eggs I purchased some fertile eggs off of eBay which are in my incubator right now.

    Weak chick

Get some Nutri-drench online or from a local feed store and give it a drop or two. Should perk it up.

    Sticky membranes?

If duckling is making chewing motions it is likely still absorbing the yolk sac. I don't know from personal experience but have seen a lot of others post that ducklings can take a long time to hatch.

    Candling shipped eggs

When candling shipped eggs do they tend to look different in terms of development than non shipped eggs? I have 13 shipped eggs that are currently on day 10.5. Two I can see veins/development for sure. One is a maybe and the other ten I don't see veins or development but they don't really look...

    My Hen is broody! HELP

Just curious. Do you not want to give her fertile eggs because you don't want anymore chicks at all or just don't want to risk getting cockerels?

    Spooky Broody!

Expect chicks somewhere between May 9-11 if she started setting April 18-20 assuming all goes well.

    Help I need rehab!

If they're on day 18 my guess would be that the chicks are getting into hatching position.
