What kind of duck is this? It looks awesome. I keep telling myself I don't have room or water for ducks but one like that would probably get a pond built for it very quickly.

The teachers do not have the incubator yet so I will not be coming up to Dunnellon tomorrow but I will keep in touch on this board and hopefully bring naked necks into the lives of many a student very soon.

It's all up to the teachers, I'm just trying to get them some local eggs so the kids can learn. I have a feeling they have no idea what to do with the chicks after they are hatched so I will keep you informed. I'll be at the school tomorrow to find out where they are in this whole process.

Quote: Right now I grow the purple hyacinth up at the elementary school garden so that the kids get interested in purple bean pods. We are in saving seed mode with those right now but we have boiled seeds and added them to stir fry in the past. Pods that are not fully ripe can be used like...

Quote: What do you do with the Chinese Long Beans? I think they look interesting, but don't know what to do with them. Stir fry, boil, bake. They are pretty versatile. I even make the traditional green bean casserole with them occasionally. I've made this recipe a number of times and my 7...
