    Is it just my bad luck?

    Is it just my bad luck, or do most fertilized eggs become roosters? we have hatched out 14 eggs in the past year and only 4, maybe 5, have been pullets. And this is 2 different roosters. I am about ready to never hatch eggs again... but man I love having chicks around! what a dilemma!

    We have D'uccles... one Rooster and 3 hens. I plan to hatch eggs from them. From there, can I hatch eggs from the same rooster and any offspring pullets that he may produce? Is there a genetic reason why I shouldn't? I really don't want more than one rooster.
