    Feather eating hens...

    Wife just got home with some dryed meal worms, i threw a handful in and it was on like donkey kong. The birds REALLY like them. How often should I treat them and about how much (we have 6 hens) I bet they would eat the whole jug of worms if I let them. Picking up Game Bird feed tomorrow.

    Girls love the new Fan

    We put a box fan on the coup and at first the girls were afraid of it ...20 minutes later the six of them squatted down in the breeze and are in heaven. Plenty of cold water , shade and a FAN . My 6 girls are happy and were still getting at least 4 eggs a day. Oh Yeah, we got our 1st egg on...

    It's DONE ...

    Finished the coup today. The last thing I did was build the ramp and hang the water bucket and feeder then throw the pine shavings in. My chicks are about 6 weeks old right now and should be coming home tomorrow [ there at a buddies house/barn]

    Where have yall found the best prices at ? Tractor Supply , local Farm Store, the WWW ? I'm starting my build soon and I did score some good R-panel for the roof for FREE.

    New guy here from North Texas . I will be building a med size coop soon . There is some VERY good info. here and some WILL be used. I'm looking forward to being part of BYC. A little on me, Married, 2 daughters [ on their own now ] 3 grand kids and now it's just me and the better half on 40...
