    Do I need lights on yet???

    As this will be my first Winter in WA with chickens, and as we have had a few cloudy days..when do you Washington Chicken folk start with extra light. I would hate my girls who have just started to lay going into molt. Are any of you already supplying extra light??? Thanks

    6 eggs today :)

    My girls started laying about a week and half ago.. 1 the first day and then two and so on...today we got 6 we have 12 so hoping for a few more as the weeks progress... so nice to go out open the box and find eggs!!!! well worth the wait.

    Here I go again.. more girls :)

    O.K. I'm a sucker for chickens.. after leaving all my girls in Colorado (with my best friend ..who is a crazy chicken lady like me ) We moved to Washington.
