    My 18 week old BR out of the blue goes into nesting box 2 times in 15 minutes while free ranging. This has not happened before. I am wondering when we should expect eggs from her. She has not squatted yet. Thanks!

    17 week old Black Australorp tail down.

    Question on pre-laying chicken behaviors

    My chickens are 14 wks. old. I am new at chicken keeping. I would like to know what behaviors to look for in my chickens when they are about to lay an egg. I read that chickens pace when ready to lay but is there something else to look for? Thanks!
