    bleeding comb and somewhat lethargic

    9 month old BR is not moving around much and her comb is bleeding. i inspected her, and other than the bleeding comb, she seems fine. i noticed blood on the other birds too. she wont walk around much and so i'm worried she is going to die on me. update: i did give her some yogurt and apples...

    is my chook house too small?

    i have 5 hens and they share a very large dog house (big enough for a large lab) the house is connected to a 10x4x3 run that i move around the yard. when i built it, i only planned on three hens. do i need to build another home? thanks

    why do my chooks need a roost?

    some use it, others sleep on the floor. or on the rim of the nest box (that nobody uses) for fun, i put a few rocks on the floor tonight and they all are perched nicely on them right now. any suggestions? do they have to have a roost? and why?
