Need to find a home for a real sweety!
She is 7 and a half weeks old and she was my free"rare" chick from MacMurray.
None of the other chicks will accept her and keep picking at her beautiful white Top Hat.
I prefer that she goes to a home with like chicks, any crested types...

I am at my wits end.
My chicks are all 7 weeks old. For the last 2 weeks all the other chicks have finally left the Black Crested Polish's top hat alone.
Now, this morning I go out to let them out of their house and she was bleeding where the others have plucked out her feathers on her head...
My chicks are six weeks old. We put them in the hen house about a 2 weeks ago with a heat lamp.
We stopped using the heat lamp a week ago and it is getting so hot here (90) today that we stopped using it.
They are huddling in one corner on top of each other practically..... they are not roosting...
I have 2 1yr old banams and have recently bought 25 baby chicks whom are now 5 weeks old and they are in the pen outside.
The bantams are hanging around the pen on the outside now for over a week and occasionally "crying" like they want to get in the pen with the chicks. they are all pretty much...
My chicks are 5 weeks old as of yesterday and are now outside in their new coop and pen, which they love.
Is it too early to give them any kind of supplements/treats?
Thanks!!
Brenda
We have 2 week old chicks and they all seem healthy and happy. Our "mystery chick" was a White Crested Polish.
She has that "cotton ball" on top of her head..lol
Well, I noticed the last couple of days that the crest is "parted" slighty on one spot and is looking a little pink. I'm worried one...
Morning!
A question about the fenced part of a chicken yard.
Ours is mud (baby chicks inside for now).
Instead of placing grass on it (which will die eventually) is it ok to put Mulch on it? If so, how do you keep it clean?
Any other ideas?
Thank you so much for your help...
Help! One of my Banties has decided over the last 2 days to roost at night in a tree about 20 ft high.
She came down the night before to go into her house,... but she has been up there since yesterday evening and she is still sitting there this morning. We have tried to cajole her out with...
My husband and I almost have our coop done however we have a question regarding ground cover around the coop. Right now the ground is bare due to just having the hillside cut out a little for the coop.
We are not sure what to put on the ground...chickens will denude grass after awhile right...
we have two banties right now that are about 1 yr old. We are going to get some standards soon(about 25) and want to know at what point can we introduce the banties to the other baby chicks. Is it necessary to house them separatly as they grow??
Also when we first got the banties they were sick...
