    Back again after 4 years!

    Hello, my little town legalized backyard chickens 3 weeks ago. I have been in a frenzy using my old coop and adapting it with a run. Tomorrow the roof goes on and then hopefully the girls Tuesday!! So excited to be back!

    FOUND 9 eggs in lawn mower shed on my bag of pine shavings..? Safe to eat?

    Whining nonstop about no eggs and then found a stash....should I just recycle and start collecting ....? Also, I closed shed tightly and put fresh shavings in coop in nesting box....will that inspire her? I was so excited...but cautious about eating....!!!!

    First Egg last Tuesday, again Wednesday, and since then ....NADA....

    I was sooooo excited...the eggs were perfect brown eggs...we used one and I gave the second one to my neighbor...then nothing. Thursday my son left the door to the coop shut, and I think that's when the laying happens..during the day...so that might have thrown her off...but then nothing...
