Went back to Lowe's today to get some more sand today. I had bought some a couple weeks ago for my flooded run and it turned green the next day. I had put a post on here asking for help without much resolution other than it might still be too wet. So, off to the store I went to get some more...

    Polite Rooster

Is anybody else out there as lucky as I am to have a roo that doesn't crow until I let him out of the coop. He's only been crowing for a week and we've let him out at varying times. Sunday was 8:30 and he still waits till he's outside to sing his song. Will this last, is this common? I hope so!

The Chiki Tiki - Work in Progress

Well, we finally got started on our coop. The chicks come in 4 weeks and it was a beautiful weekend here in sunny Florida. I designed my coop originally for 6 chickens and ended up making it a little bigger for a couple reasons. First, we all know about chicken math, and second, I decided to go...

    Dreams Do Come True!

Hello from Florida, About two years ago, my husband and I decided to sell our starter home and attempt to move to a more preferred rural area. I've always wanted more land and distance from our neighbors. I wanted my kids to be able to play in the back yard and hear nature, not the foul...
