I have 4 Well Bred, Welsummer chicks 3.5 weeks old, 2 cockerals and 2
pullets that NEED HOMES. The plans I had for them fell through. The
Welsummer is a beautiful breed and the Kellogg's Corn Flake Rooster,
"Cornelius" is a Welsummer.
They lay dark brownTerra cotta colored eggs, some...
Hi,
My 2 week old batch of chicks seems to hold 2 roosters. They are from eggs whose siblings won the champion egg award at Michigan fair. I got them from vivki 2x2 on here. Beautiful birds, I just can't keep roosters, I will know for sure next week or so when their chests feather out. I...
Hi,
My 5 little Welsummers all hatched over the last couple of days and went under a happy broody silkie,
BUT there was a last egg in the incubator that had pipped and zipped 3/4 of the way and then stopped, I left it for 24 hours and it was still alive, so like a fool i helped it finish...
How long can my brand new little Welsummer stay in the incubator without suffering ill effects, while waiting for the other eggs to hatch? I think I killed my other eggs last time when I took the first hatched chick out 8 hours after it hatched. today is day 20, one of this batch of eggs...

Hi I am waiting for my EEs to start laying they are from My Pet CHicken, in early July. They have very red little combs and are squatting rampantly, and I am just hoping so much for blue eggs... Does anyone have MPC EES laying blue?
So it was 14 below zero and the girls were all snug in their coop and I hear the egg laying sounds for the first time, they are 22 weeks old... red combs, squatting...
But no egg to be found.
last night I dreamt of frozen eggs.
So... is it normal for them to make those noises and NOT be laying?
