    Sulfur and Eggs

Any body know why eggs have the amount of sulfur they do? I did a search and didn't really come up with much. I did not think their diet contains that much sulfur (mine get Layena pellets, cracked corn, and oyster shell). Of course I am assuming the sulfur in the eggs is dependent on their...

I picked up 13 Barred Rocks about 3 weeks ago. I have 2 roos and 11 hens. Some of my hens look like the following. Why do some of them have such white chests and necks? You can see the hen behind does not have this. I also added a few more pics for grins and giggles. Some other pics...

Need Laying Hens in Houston TX

Just like the subject says, I am looking for Hens of laying age in Houston and a roo. I am specifically located in Pearland (Just south of Houston). I'm not real picky which type as I am a first timer on the chicken experience. I have built my coop/run and it looks lonely. It needs some friends.

    Another Broiler Laying Eggs Question.....

Someone is giving me a dozen or so white broiler hens and 1 roo next week. I am building a decent run and coop. He has been feeding them a Purina broiler feed and they are now about 7-8 weeks old. They are a group of birds from his son's flock for showing in 4H and FFA. Now to my question...
