Our house sitter collected silkie eggs this morning, put them in the fridge. The eggs were there for about 4 hours. I removed them, let them get to room temp, and put them back in the nest boxes.
Have I lost these eggs for hatching out?? My hens are just about to go broody.
Any info is greatly...
I think I have a disease - it lasts for 21 days, gets progressively worse after about 18 days and then severely affects my ability to function for the last three days!!
I'm curious if anyone else has this affliction???
My husband thinks I am crazy - he jokes that I have developed obsessive...
Okay - I have read lots of posts, but I still have some confusion.
How can you adjust the humidity without opening the incubator ?
A straw doesn't always hit the water channels.(I have a still air LG)
How can you remove eggs to candle without opening the incubator?
How many thermometers...
Help!! I recently purchased eggs for hatching from two different breeders. Both sent extra eggs, but I have had a large percent that weren't fertile.
Is this normal?? Can shipping damage the eggs?
None were broken.
Just curious about experiences from others.
thanks,
silkie mom
Greetings,
I am interested in buying some "better than pet" quality silkie roosters - ones with nice top "hats" at least 4 - 5 months old. Any colors except black.
