Well.. I went to TSC today to finally find out what these were..
Was told Buff Orp which I already knew wasn't true lol. They're white with black spots.
I've got a RIR hen acting extremely down and she's overloading on water and not eating*she's lost a lot of weight in the past few days*
She's also only a year old *she'll be 2 around May.*
I do not have a vet to take her to and I'm absolutely not sure what I'm doing.
*I'm not sure if it's...
I have a couple chickens that do not have wing feathers for some reasons and some are losing feathers between their legs and around the butt.
I have one that the feathers are just falling off. I made sure it wasn't mites or lice multiple times..
I have a few *horrible* pictures of one of the...
Well I have 2 five week old (I hope) Wyandotte chicks I got from a feed store that gets all of their chickens/chicks from local breeders. The chicks were fine when I brought them home but a week later they started sneezing (no coughing/wheezing) and now about 4 weeks later they both have really...
It maybe too early to tell exactly what gender these 2 maybe but it's worth a shot to try. They were both sold to me as SLW and pullets but one came out to be a GLW so gender is in question now, especially with the SLW since it was so tiny when I first got it. I'm also not so sure of age I feel...
I know it's a bit early to quite tell just yet but I was told that she was a silver laced but I have doubts.
They're about 2 weeks old
She's the largest one in this picture
Here's a close up of her wing
Also could we tell if the smaller one is a roo or a pullet? (It maybe too early...
I'm not so sure if I have to build a brooding box for the ducklings or if i could keep them in with the rest of the flock. Since I raised 4 mallards with the chickens I'm just not so sure really..
But.. would the others hurt the ducklings is my main concern as well.
Help? D:
So yesterday my dad and I went to the run to feed the chickens and we noticed one of the hens couldn't move around very well.. so I grabbed her and saw that her eye had been hurt. But like not the eye but the eyebrow area. I believe one of the other hens did it.. since one of them just went...
I'm infested with lice and wondering what would be the best and easiest treatment for it is and if I should also treat the coop and run? I know there are three insecticides I could use. But unsure how to get them. I'm thinking of actually getting the Carbaryl Dusting Powder but not sure how to...
Well we have 4 Cornish x?, but I think 3 are pullets and 1 cockerel just not sure. I think I could get some help. xP
It's comb is a lot bigger than the others but it's the only one with red ears and a wattle at the moment.
So today we got a Leghorn pullet (hen) from a place with a bunch of chicks and pullets. When we got half way home from there I noticed she was sneezing a lot and she's got a bit of a runny nose. If there isn't anything wrong with her let me know xD,
Well we've got 4 yellowish white chicks, some darker than the others. Three toes, pinkish legs, pinkish beak.
The other 2 I believe are Rhode Island reds.
This is one of the red ones :3
