This is a 1 year old brown leghorn hen. She is eating and drinking well. Very active and vocal. Started as a small bump and has turned to this. Any ideas what it is and what I should do for it. I have her separated to keep others from picking on her. Thanks in advance for your help.
We have 4 OEGBs and are thinking we got all roos. This is the only one that we are not 100% on. The other three are crowing. This is the smallest of the group. It is 12 weeks old. Any thoughts would be appreciated. If a roo, we will need to find some new homes for a couple.
Thanks
We have two OEGBs that we think are roos and one bantam Wynadotte (we think) that we believe to be a roo. They are all 11 weeks old. Any thoughts on the gender? Also, does the last one look like a Wyandotte (or mix) to you?
Thanks
We have three polish chicks. These are 5 weeks old. When can you determine what gender they are and what are things to look for? We know with the silkie in the front that we will need to wait until it crows or lays an egg to tell. Thanks for your help.
We have a bantam that has a bad smell coming from the rump area. Vent looks fine, no swelling. This chick is 7 weeks old and has had the smell for a while. It is not a poop smell. It is in with 5 other chicks and it is the only one with it. It eats and drinks well. Has feathered in nicely...
We have these four bantams. Pretty sure they are Old English Game Bantams. We also think they are 1 rooster and 3 pullets. They are about 7 weeks olds? Any opinions on Gender and type? Oh yea, they all attempt to crow, if you can call it that, lol. The little roo definitely emits a more...
We are new to chickens. We purchased six brown leghorns at TSC as pullets. I think the first three pics are roos. Do you agree? The last pic I believe is our one and only leghorn hen.
We have this barred rock chick. She is six weeks old. All of her friends are outside except her because she has very little feathers. Please see picks below. Any idea what is wrong with her? She eats, peeps and poops. Very active. No mites, etc. Any advice is appreciated.
Wings are...
We have this bantam chick. We purchased it from an assorted bin at TSC. Looks like we have four Old English Bantams and this little one. In the first picture, it is one week old and in the 2nd picture, it is three weeks old. Looks to have a pea comb with a small type horn on top. Is this a...
We have 6 chickens (7 weeks old). They are supposed to be pullets. I know males and females in this breed each have combs. How do you tell the difference? Post number 4 has pics of our leghorns.
Have this 4 week old barred rock. Can its gender be identified? I appreciate the help I am getting from this side. We purchased some straight run chicks and looks like we have mostly hens. This one I wasn't sure about because its bars are much brighter than our other shown at bottom.
Purchased 6 bantams at TSC and wanted to see if anyone could help me figure out what kind they are. The last pic is our largest bantam but no wings to speak of.
These are two of our barred rock chicks. They are two weeks old. The one on the right has very scraggly wing growth compared to the others. The down on its back is scares too. Also has a naked butt. We had to separate for a few days because of everyone picking on it and pecking its naked...
