We went out of town last week and when we came back one of our toms had quit eating. We chalked up to a change in routine but he still is not eating and is now losing weight. He is not eaten a full meal since Friday August 15. We had wanted to butcher him for Thanksgiving. His only other...

My facebook peeps don't understand my excitement when I fire up that incubator! This is our third go around. The first time around nothing hatched, 10 out of 42 hatched the second time around and here we go again. Our second hatch would have had 22 hatched but I opened the incubator too many...
My husband and I have recently purchased a hovabator 1602N and are excited to fill it up with eggs. I fired it up last night and it seems to be holding a steady temperature of 99-100* and a humidity rating of about 27-28% without adding any water to it. It is a still air.

Hello everyone! We are having crazy Texas weather here in Brownsville! 60/70 yesterday, now its 40s cold and wet. My chickens, turkeys and guineas got wet last night/today as I was not able to get the tarps around the pen til noon. We have two heat lamps and tarps around the pen now. Should i go...
My 4 month old buff has an abscess on his lower breast about the size of large walnut. This is not his crop. I would like some opinions on how to treat as vetrinary care is out unless it is an emergency. I have lanced abscesses on large livestock but never on poultry. Do i lance, leave it alone...
