    Breeds and gender?

I bought these three at the auction last night, and I'm fairly sure the latter two are hens, but I am wondering the gender on the first and the breeds of all of them. Thanks.

    Breed and Gender identification.

I bought these from TSC, they are assorted bantams, if anyone could tell me information on their breeds or genders, that would be great.

    Turning a Profit from Chickens

Now I love my chickens as much as the next wanna-be poultry farmer, but I am seventeen and hate depending on my dad for feed money. I would love tips on how you BYCers make money off of your chickens. Do you sell hens? If so at what age and what time of the year? What about selling eggs? Do you...

    Dead chicken.

Yesterday I placed my leghorn mix in a coop with my Silkie roo, they were both scared of each other so they avoided one another. When I came home tonight my hen was dead and stiff on the ground with an egg on the other side of the coop. I didn't see any blood on either of them though. Is it...

    No Broodies?

So I have four Rhode Island Reds and it's winter now of course, but even in the summer my hens would not sit on their eggs. Granted, they are all going to be a year old at Easter, and I had no rooster in the summer. Will they begin sitting in the spring since they'll be older and have a man or...

    Possibly Fertile Eggs

I was thinking about keeping my roo in the coop with my hens permanently, and with that would come fertilized eggs. Are there any issues with eating fertilized eggs?

    Breed of my Rescue?

This is a picture of my recently rescued hen. Any (logical) guesses are greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if you can tell in the picture, but her back is a bit more elongated than my other hens and her tail is more horizontal then vertical if that helps. Thanks in advance!

    Temperature Fluctuation.

Maybe once or twice my incubator has dropped a few degrees, I'd say no more than four degrees, and it was for relatively short periods of time. Will this affect my hatch rates?

    Eye injury.

So yesterday I let my hens out to graze I guess you would call it, and my rooster accidentally got out as well and as soon as he did, he attacked one of my hens. It ended quickly with my hen running back in to the coop. He has spent very little time with this hen as opposed to the time spent...
