These 2 were originally kept by neighbours who fed them quite badly (just oatmeal...). Neither have laid an egg or crowed, although the bigger one has done the egg song and done some weird calling out in the morning which sounds different from a rooster crow but is still annoying. The larger...
Hi
I have just separated my 11 month rooster from another 10 month pullet (?) because it has begun crowing extremely loudly. I have put it in a large box in the garage. It is now silent. But now the other chicken is now making loud noises that almost sound like a crow but more like crying. I...
Hi. My smallest chicken suddenly stopped eating or drinking and closed its eyes. On closer inspection, its vent is full of small insects, I think they are mites. Please help, this is my favourite chicken and it is only 5 weeks old, how can I treat it?
Thanks

All of their crops now feel quite full and I can definitely feel the outline of the corn. It has been about 7 hours since...
Brought these chicks all different breeds just for fun (straight run :/). Would like to know what breed they are thank you.
Some pictures:

The baby chicken used to be extremely active, pecking at everything and eating and drinking a lot, but today it ate a fly alive and it doesn’t seem to be eating much food or drinking much water and is continually sleeping.
I had introduced some newer chickens today, but it looks like sickness...
I originally bought 2 chickens, straight run, but the gentler one sadly died. The more aggressive one is now on its own (i have a suspicion its a rooster) and I’m thinking of buying two more chickens to accompany it. I’m scared it will peck the new chickens to death though.
The older chick is...
