    Dust bath question

I was going to set up a dust bath for my chicks. I have read that you can just use dirt from outside, or peat moss, or sand. I have some organic seed starter, would that be ok to use in case the ground is still frozen when they get here?

    How much chick feed?

I just found out that I can order 6 chicks from my local hatchery and pick them up. These will be my first chickens. I was wondering how much chick feed will I need to get? I would rather get what I will need at once, and not run out. Thanks, Michelle
