Cornish Rock starter flock!!! $100 OBO. Includes two dark Cornish roosters and five white Plymouth Rock hens. Birds are a year old this March and all hens are laying.
The offspring of these two breeds are what's known as the Cornish Rock or Cornish Cross, a table bird. If that's not your...
I had and lost one rooster to this. Crusty yellow spots started on comb and then gradually spread to the rest of the body and caused feather loss, an atrocious smell, appetite loss, huddling. This little guy, a modern game bantam cockerel, the crusty yellow spots are confined to his comb and...
I have two Silkie hatchmates, approx 5 months old now. The first a pullet, became quite lethargic and simply just stopping walking/moving/eating/doing anything. Two days later, the cockerel (I think) came down with wry neck/limber neck. His neck was tucked tightly between his legs and when he...
Up for grabs is my wonderful 4-month-old attack Silver Sebright Roo!!! SPIKE is a wonderful roo!!! I also have his milder-mannered brother so I prefer not to keep two of them. Spike loves to crow! He also is a ladies man!!! No bantam girls for him! He goes right for the standard ladies...
I've been planning on shipping a single 7 week old chick across the country. It has occurred to me that it may be even more stressful on him due to the fact that he'll be alone. Do you think the trip will be too much for him to handle alone? He'll be traveling from FL to OR. I just want to...
One 4 1/2 week old Silver Sebright cockerel available! Don't miss out on this gorgeous little guy! Have too many roos so can't keep him. Pics to be posted later!
I have a 4 1/2 week old pair, pullet and cockerel up for grabs! Hatched way too many babies this Spring and just looking to place my extras in good homes. Have never shipped before, but would be willing to look into it. Pics upon request:) They're in that awkward stage, mostly feathered out...
This is for a 7 week old Salmon Faverolle Pullet, a Golden Cuckoo Maran Pullet, and a Golden Cuckoo Maran Roo. Pics upon request:) I just need to find homes for these guys!
I have 3 six and a half week old roos that need a home! The breeds are Black Copper Maran, Golden Cuckoo Maran, and Salmon Faverolle. I live in Central Florida. This is for pick-up only. Pics upon request:)
I have a 3 day old chick that was born unable to straighten his right leg and outer toes on each foot were also folded in. Suspected a slipped achilles tendon in the hock joint. Attempted to realign the tendon by gently stretching the leg back as was recommended on the following website...

I have two sets of chicks, four 5 1/2 week olds and ten almost 2 week olds. They have been introduced to each other on several supervised occasions now. The older chicks act like the younger ones are aliens and completely leave them alone. That is, unless one of them decides to get curious...
I have one little chick that loves to take naps flat on his back. In fact, the first time DH and I saw it, we thought the chick was dead! But no, just "sunbathing"!!! Can't wait to see how this one turns out:)
I woke up at 2am to the sounds of chirping, but I see no pips:( How much longer do I have to wait on the little guy before he decides to make an entrance? On pins and needles, checking the bator every few minutes through the glass (just to make sure I didn't miss anything!).
Thanks!
I'm so upset today. This is my first time hatching. I scoured the internet researching beforehand, carefully purchased my bator and chose it's location in the house, and have been enthralled watching the embryos' development by candling.
After all of that, I only realized when I took the...
Hi there,
I'm incubating for the first time ever. Included in the bator are some of my EE's eggs. I find it completely impossible to see anything when I candle them! Especially the olive-colored ones! I also have some brown eggs as well as Silkie eggs and have no problem seeing the veins...
Hi,
I don't want to seem totally crazy, but can I travel with incubating eggs? I have the equipment to plug the incubator into my SUV. I will only be gone for the weekend and I do not have an egg turner, so I thought maybe I can just bring them with me. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks,
Jessi
