Duck is gone?! Thoughts?
I have 6 ducks (3 Pekin, 2 cayugas and 1 runner). The pen has a 6 foot chain link fence around it, open on the top. Its on the edge of a patch of woods, so its always shaded by large pint trees. I have 6 ducks (4 hens 2 drakes). They just started laying. Well one has. I have a few questions. I let them free range all day. They have been laying in the coop over night or early in the morning. Can they lay while free ranging? Or will they always lay in the coop? Do they lay at the same... -

Is my duck a male?
I have 4 Cayugas and 1 runner. They are all 6 weeks old. One of the Cayugas has a very loud raspy "quack". The rest just kinda cherp still. Does this mean I have one male? Or is it too soon to tell yet? -
How to control flies and best pen flooring??

Ducks vs turkey vultures??
So I just picked up 5 ducklings today. 4 Cayugas and 1 pekin. I have 20-25 turkey vultures that nest in the trees in my back yard. I Know hey are supposed to only eat dead animals but I was just wondering if anyone has had any issues with them before. Thanks! -
Getting my ducklings tomorrow.
I am picking up 4 ducklings tomorrow and i have a question. I am going to have a 75 watt light for heat but do i need to leave it on all day and night? Or do i turn it off at night? Also, whats the best food I can get for them? Thanks!
