    How can I get my chicks used to me handling them?

    They all run away and jump ontop of each other and they try to "fly" away. I don't want to hurt them and I also don't want them hurting each other. It's really annoying.

    the chick themselves can get cold? I remember hearing that somewhere... I forget where though. Oh yeah and if it is true what temperature should their water be? They are about a week old if that matters.

    I just noticed this... Is this normal?

    One of my 5 NH Red Hen chicks is considerably larger than the other 4... Sould I be worried about the smaller chicks getting enough feed? They eat out of a feeder (I always make sure it is full) and they are 3 days old.

    Baby Hens panting even though temp is alright?

    I'm a new chicken mom, and one of my baby hens died this morning so i'm a bit on edge right now but anyways... A few of my chicks (about 3 days old) are panting even though the temperature of the brooder is at 90 degrees. Should I be concerned about this? Or should I just let them pant? Answers...
