Pekin duck sitting on chicken eggs

I thought typically pekins didn't go broody but our girl is sitting on six chicken eggs. Once they hatch I know I'll have to take her pool away but what about feeding. I've learned from experience that ducks need duck food but what about the chicks? They can't eat the ducks food. How do I...

    Duck diet

I've read hundreds of posts and articles about what peop;le feeds their ducks but I still have to ask.... Does anyone give their laying ducks Purina Layena crumbles? Do they need oyster shell? If they do, how do you offer the shell? Do they need anything else on a daily basis? I treat my...

Ducks bill color and proper diet.

We got a new girl pekin last night and her bill is a bright orange compared to our pale yellow billed girl. Does this have anything to do with their diets? Which begs the question, what is a proper diet for a pekin? One is a year old, the other was hatched this spring. Thanks!

This can't be good.... (comb issues?)

We've recently had to keep the chickens locked in their coop and yeard because of predation issues. It's been hot and humid here as well. What do you suppose could be the matter?

How long from peeping to pipping?

I heard the chick peeping in it's egg under the hen yesterday. How long after you hear peeping should it begin pipping and zipping? This is our first hatch. TIA!

It's been two days since the first egg hatched.

24 hours since I heard another egg peeping but now, nothing. How long should it take? My eggs are under a broody hen by the way.

Are the other hens and rooster a threat to hatching eggs?

We have one bantam sitting on 4 eggs that, according to my calculation, should hatch any day (this is our first time). Are the four other hens and one rooster a threat to the babies?

    Coordination Issues

We have two, month old white peekin ducks. Yesterday we noticed one walking funny and it seems worse today. Eating and drinking ok, swimming ok too. Talking walks isn't an issue although it looks drunk. Any ideas? It's legs and feet look ok to me but I know very little about duck anatomy. TIA!

    4 bantams

I think I have two of each? But I don't know what they are. Maybe two Golden Laced Wyandottes? Thank you all in advance, you're a wealth of knowledge!

    Hen or rooster?

We thought it a rooster from it's appearance but it laid an egg right in front of us today. Sadly we were holding her and it fell to the ground and broke.
