So we had about half (13) of our eggs end up having full grown chicks, some with the yolk absorbed some not, in them that were dead. We had one pip and die within six hours no zipping, yolk absorbed. after reading one of the articles i think the thing they all had in common was waiting too long...
I've had chicks pip the wrong end when I set them wrong side up but this time I did it right side up and he's still popping the wrong end! And he pipped twelve hours ago and is noise as all get out but hasn't progressed. What should I do?!

Is it okay to cover the whole bottom grate with wet paper towels? I figured this would reduce clean up and boost humidity. But I'm not sure if the eggs can lay on wet paper towels during lock down.
