    How to switch to a nipple waterer?

    Does anyone have any tips to get year old chickens to drink out of nipple waterers? I tapped the red part and they came over, watched, pecked, and eventually drank out of it. I thought that was it but then it didn't seem like they were going through enough water - way less than a liter for one...

    7 eggs today . . .

    From 2 chickens! How did that happen? I checked the nest boxes, coop, and run yesterday and no eggs. Today there were 7 eggs in the nest box. The coop part is raised and only 4x4 so I would have found them yesterday if they had been there. Crazy overachieving chickens

    What colour eggs do your McMurray EE's lay?

    I'm thinking of getting some EEs from McMurrays but I would like to know what experience others have had with them. Do yours lay brown, green, or blue-ish eggs? I'm not really expecting to get blue eggs but I don't want to get my hopes up for green either if most people get brown eggs.

    Pomegranate?

    Can my chickens eat pomegranate? I have one that I forgot about and it is kind of wilty, if you will, but it isn't moldy or anything. Has anyone else given pomegranate to their chickens?

    Today I found a lot of small feathers in the nest box. Is my hen starting to molt or do broody hens line their nests with feathers?
