    Any one else w/ a chicken treat drawer?

    One of the drawers in my refrig is designated just for chicken treats. Currently it holds a brick of cheese(bought on sale), spinach, yogurt, grapes and crushed egg shell. Then theres the oatmeal in the pantry too. Any one else have a "hands off-- that's for the girls" section?

    Confession time

    Am i a monster? On Sunday I cleaned out my fish bowl - and not wanting any more guppie babies I culled the females and fed them to my chickens. I didnt just want to flush them, that seemed like a waste, and my three girls thought it was a great treat.

    Enough with the rain!

    Rain, rain n more rain here in So Cal. Who says it never rains here? The food is all soaked, the run is squishy. Gave my girls a ccouple of oars today in case they need to paddle to safety.

    Gone in a flash

    Grapes were on sale today- so I couldnt resist picking up a bunch for the girls. They were snatched from my hand so fast- poof! gone in a flash!! May be their new favorite treat.

    Their lucky day

    Today my mom cleaned out her pantry and found a canister of quaker oats loaded with moths. My girls will be forever thankful. They went to it and ate like scavengers!
