Hello, need help identifying some new birds. I got the small hen about two months ago at auction. I thought when I got her the gal at the auction called her a "milliford" (unknown spelling). I have tried to google several different spellings but the only thing I come up with is an Asian chicken...
Alright now I am starting get frustrated! I have 26 chickens, some RIR, buffs, sexlinks, Americanas, etc. 16 or so of the birds are about 2 yrs old and the rest are under 6 months and my egg production sucks.
A little history, I have always had about the same number of birds (some times more)...
Just purchased an incubator and wondering if I should have purchased the automatic egg turner as well? I asked the clerk at the store and she told me I would still have to flip the egg even though I had the turner. This seems odd to me. Is she right? and if so why buy the turner? Is the tuner...
I need help, for some reason my chickens are dying and I don't know why? In the last 2 months I believe I have lost 5 chickens when I didn't lose any for the 1st 8 months i started raising chickens?? Could it be because the colder weather? They are all almost 1 yr old, there are 2 heat lamps...
I am tryint to save a little money and instead of always feeding chickens the chicken feed I was wondering if I could feed them all most of leftovers. I was told onions are bad for them but thats all I was told. Anything else I am missing?
