    Missing Feathers

    One of my hens has just hatched out an egg(only 1) and is now raising the chick indoors until they are introduced into the flock. Just recently I saw she was losing some feathers, all small and no big ones. Is there a reason for concern or is she just making herself a more comfortable nest?

    She's at about a week now so I wanted to provide some updated pictures to see if anyone could identify her color or gender any better than before. Her tail feather growth makes me think it's a hen, because I've never had a chicken develop feathers this fast and end up being a roo.

    Large Air Cell

    I'm on Day 21 of hatching under a broody hen. So far only 1 egg has hatched, out of 9. The others all seem to have a relatively large air cell and I'm not sure whether that is normal or not. Any answers will help, thank you!
