    Infected toe

    we have a rooster whos 2 and a long time ago he lost a toe nail but has never had any issues. We realized tonight that it is now infected as it is hot and swollen so we brought him inside to get it cleaned up. We cleaned it and wrapped it up.     has anyone had one of their chickens nose bleed? We only have 1 in our flock that had this problem. We only noticed it tonight. I had thought that it might have been from being dry but our coop isn’t dry as we’re having warm temperatures and everything is thawing now. Just looking for some input.

    We have a hen who has gone broody. We have 3 eggs that we are going to try and let her hatch. She has never hatched chicks before and this is our first time as well. Does anyone have any tips for us to help the process? She is in a coop with 15 other hens and 1 rooster.

    since it's been nice we've been letting our chickens out earlier in the day. They have the nesting boxing in the coop and some go back in to lay.
