I purchased 12 chicks from two different TSC's last month, and I think I've figured out what they all are, except for two. They're both the same, they look like this:
I'm totally stumped! Any ideas?
Thanks!

I have ten laying hens right now, ranging in ages from one to four years. All of my eggs go to my mom, and lately she's been complaining about them tasting funny, like teflon. At first it started with just one, and I think, going by her description, I had figured out it came from either my full...
Hey all! I'm trying to find a chicken-friendly insecticide besides DE. (DE's annoying with the whole deactivated-with-water thing. ) Anyone know of anything? We have ticks EVERYWHERE, it's insane, and we're going crazy!
Thanks for any help!
This is supposed to be a pullet, and I thought it was, but, now I'm not sure. It's got the tail, hackle, and saddle feathers of a roo. Almost four months old. This is a nice bird, friendly, and used to get down into the "position" for my hand, and then shake it off. I've never had a rooster do...

I assumed this guy was a cochin, but he has poofy cheeks??
Partridge? Breed...

one is a splash standard, looks about five or six months old, and one is a mutt bantam, maybe birchen & red, who's about two years old.
The splash can be seen here...
Hey guys! Yesterday I acquired two splash standard cochins who I *thought* were both hens. But this one is confusing me. It has the stance of a roo, and pointy/shiny saddle feathers. But tiny comb & wattles, and no spurs to speak of. And it talks like a hen! I just don't get it. lol
With the...
