Hi!
I have two bantam babies that I'd like help identifying breeds. They have no leg feathers. #1 is mostly very light yellow/white. #2 is white with soft gray parts.
Thanks for your help!
I need some serious ideas here.
I have a coop and run I built myself. It's pretty sturdy 9x5 house with L shaped 6x10ish run. The current location does NOT have a coop foundation and I'm regretting not doing one. That being said, I need to figure out how to do a foundation in the new location...
I've seen that you can raise ducks and pullets together, but I'm looking for some pro tips. I have a 5x9 fixed coop with a 10x12 attached/covered run. I have 5 hens and looking for 1 more chick and a duckling.

Swimming/wading area
Food
Sleeping/nesting arrangements for ducks

Meet Buckbeak. Buckbeak is a 7 week old Ameracauna. I'm worried my baby might crow.
She/he is a bit bigger than my other girls and more dominant. Please tell me I'm wrong.
Introduced the girls to their new coop! Meet Ginny, Tonks, Winky, Niffler, Butterbeer, and Buckbeak. ❤️⚡
I'm a nervous chicken mama and keep checking on them.
I'm looking into the Deep Bedding method and need some real advice. I am not wanting to compost, so deep litter is not something I'd like to do. I also will be using poop boards to help with cleanup.
I'm in North Texas and it gets quite hot here with mainly mild winters. I have laid down about...
I'm trying to figure out how to build a door frame. I've attached a picture of my coop so far. Mainly I just need confirmation on how a door should be framed.
I need some help naming chicks. I'm going to have 6-7 total consisting of Ameracaunas, Barred Plymouth Rock, Golden Lace Wyandotte, Black Australorp, Speckled Sussex, and quite possibly a silkie for fun.
I WANT to name them all Harry Potter related punny chicken names, but I'm open to other...
My feed store is getting chicks on Sunday. Only one breed they'll have is one of the five I want. That following Wednesday the rest of the breeds I want will be in .
My question is, will one baby chick get too lonely if kept by itself for 3 days?
Second to that, will it be territorial? I don't...
I'm definitely not a carpenter, but I can be handy. I'm really proud of my accomplishment today. I built a roll away nesting box. For now it'll be communal, but I can add a partition if there's issues.
As I'm designing my coop, I've decided that I wantu nesting box within the door so when I open the door to go in, the nesting box opens with it. I'm making the nesting box accessable from the outside as well.
Has anyone done this and do you have advice/pics?
I have some regular red home bricks I'm wanting to use as my 'edging' around the bottom of my coop. The walls would be standing on them and there's a dirt floor inside with hardware cloth underneath.
My question is, since there's holes in the bricks, how do you keep it weather/predator proof?
I'm building my first coop out of an existing frame in the ground that I built for another purpose.
I'm thinking I would like to forgo actual flooring and layer with crushed granite then sand. I'm not worried about moisture sine I live in a hot climate. I'm going with a three sided design with...
I've been trying for years to convince my husband we need chickens. The day has finally come and I'm obsessing over researching day and night!
I plan on having about 6 chickens, with one being a silkie just for the fun of it. I'm definitely researching breeds that are great with children (my...
