Hi everyone, can you please help me?
All others hatched day 21-22 with the hen and she abandoned the nest leaving 6 eggs behind. I candled and kept two. I saw veining in one what I thought was probably an egg that I gave one day later because she refused some eggs after day one. Now it's day 23...

Dear all,
Is there a way to treat lash egg without knowing which chicken has it? If yes, how?!
I have already had a number of lash eggs in the past few months (first one found 30 Jan) and this chicken also lays eggs (because sometimes I get an egg with some lash stuff attached).
I have 6...
Hi all! I wanted to share my journey, hear from others and discuss about my chick integration to the flock.
I have followed different ideas behind articles like this one: short-on-time-recycle-a-prefab-brooder
The whole raising set up:
From week 1 to week 3 chicks were staying inside the house...
At first I thought it was a crop bump, but it seems that it is an actual bump or am I wrong? More to the left side of the chick front, quite hard to the touch... Difficult to take photos to show it, as it is not very eye catching.
Edit: Further to my research I think it may be crop impaction...
The chich was supposed to hatch a few days back like the other ones. It was not hatching and I counted day 24, so I introduced a safety hole.
18-20 hours later we peeled where the air sack was and the membrane was all white. I moistened it with coconut oil and all the veins were protruding so...
I have a constant mite issue...
We had mites before and I have firstly treated it naturally with soap/oil/water spray and it has helped perfectly. Also did dried tobacco for prevention.
However..
They keep reappearing and it's becoming a bigger issue...
2 months ago we completely pressure...
Long story short, my first time broody abandoned her eggs at around 18-20 days (different egg age by up to few days).
I have noted her out and about and not coming back to the nest anymore and not willing to sit despite my efforts. I am a first timer and very spontaneously decided her to let...

A racing pigeon was hanging around our house. He came to me himself so didn't really need any capturing. I put him in my cat box and gave him grains and water. After some stress relief he ate. We contacted the owners based on the ring and they were completely not interested and even saying...
