This is her son, saying her farewell for her.
I know she was close to some...
How long will a hen remain fertile without a rooster. I want to make sure the offspring are from the rooster I picked and is the one fertilizing the eggs. I tried to do a search but there were to many hits on topics that had nothing to do with the question. Thnaks in advance.
Suppose a person went to the local Ya all come back saloon. Came back in just a couple hrs. and then spent the next 2 days holed up in their room, except to eat that is. What would you think.

My daughter came home from the feed store with 6 bantam chicks. These are not hatchery as this feed store sells locally raised chicks. One I know is a silky, and one may be a buff orp? Except for the silky they all have pink feet and legs. Any help would be appreciated.
The smallest one. #1...
I am building a Hoop Coop and trying to be green minded, I want to use materials I already have from previous projects. I want to make the base from 4x4x7s. I have a lot of them. How in the world do I nail them together. Thanks.
I posted this question on the photos of buff orpington thread and was ignored. So I thought I'd start a new one. LOL. I have a couple older BO hens and I've noticed that their previously red ear lobes are turning white. I researched this before I asked and could not find any mention of this...
If the parents of the chicks have worms can they be born with them. These are hatched chicks from my flock. I have read one of the first signs is that the parents have them is an increase prehatch death and chick fragility. My hens all look good and there there has been no decrease in egg...

The neighbor lady gave me six emu eggs yesterday. How long are they viable. I have no intention of getting in to raising emus and need to know how long I have to find someone who can use them. Thanks PM me if any one is interested in them.

Oh and I think its a she. Is it?
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes.
This hen mix, a RIR over a BO, laid an ivory egg.
Here is the egg compared to one of her sisters.
Her father was a RIR from a hatchery. Mother was a BO from a breeder. Is this a common thing. I wouldn't have believed it if I...
I have been reading all the posts about this disinfectant. I am highly allergic to Chlorine eg. my airways close up at high levels in the air. Will I be able to use this product???
I hatched this chick with other BOs. She was pale buff as a chick and feathered out all white. Her legs are white and pink. Does any one know how this happened?
Wasn't sure where to post this since this is the first batch of chicks since I swithced to Neutrea Nature Wise 18% All Flock. I thought it might have something to do with it.
I was cleaning the coop when I picked up a pullet that was picking at my feet. Played with her a little and put...
I wasn't sure where to post this but since this is the first batch raised on Nutrenas Nature Wise 18% All Flock I thought it might have something to do with the fact that this 10 wk old pullet squated for me this afternoon. I had been cleaning the coop and kind of playing with them. I...
