I came out to let my chickens out this morning, and one of my hens has a very nasty breathing sound. She’s eating and drinking, but sneezing and almost coughing, and it’s very loud. Any ideas??

I have two adult hens who have been separated from the younger chicks for quite a while. Weeks ago, when they were allowed to reach the chicks they almost killed one of them. However, the chicks are now a little over 16 weeks old. The hens will peck them, but won’t chase after them like they...
My 10 week old chicks got with my older, mature hens and I came out and saw one of them like this. I’m currently holding a bandage to her wound, and I’m not sure what else to do. Should I take her into the vet?

These are my 2 Easter Egger chicks that just turned 7 weeks old. I have been told they were both female, but I wanted to check with you guys to make sure! :)
I got 2 chicks from Tractor Supply about 6 weeks ago. They were both labeled as Americana’s, but I saw many people saying Easter Eggers were sometimes put as Americana’s. Which one are these?
I have 2 chicks who are almost four weeks old, and I noticed one of them squat when I went to pet her, like a hen does when she submits to a rooster. The chick put her wings out and everything, and I have never seen this before in a chick. I did not pet her when she did this, and she squawked in...
One of my baby chicks has been acting weird for about an hour, frantically shaking her head, chirping, and very tired. I think it’s a respiratory illness. She almost died on me, she was very limp and kept opening and closing her mouth and would not move. I held her upside down and gave her a bit...
I’ve had my chicks for about a week now, and all of a sudden one of my chicks is acting like they can’t walk. She is very still and tired, and whenever she attempts to move, she chirps very loudly and backs up, and throws her head around. She also scratches at it constantly. I tried looking for...
This may seem like a silly question, and I would’ve never thought of something like this. However, I just bought a couple chicks about 4 days ago. I’ve been spending a lot of time with them (I keep the chicks in my room) and they have started squawking loudly and trying to escape the cage...
One of my hens is starting to show signs of egg laying. She is squatting, staying near the nesting boxes, squawking loudly, and walking slow. Should I keep her inside the coop? My chickens are free range, so I don’t want her laying her eggs somewhere else. What should I do? (I started noticing...
I currently have 4 hens, which are around 12 weeks old. They are free dang and have a large coop. I am looking into getting a 6 or so week old rooster to protect them. Is this a good idea? I don’t think I’ll be getting more hens, and I don’t want the rooster to wear them out. Any suggestions?
I’ve owned chickens for about 5 years now, and the only thing I’ve feed them (other than the occasional scraps and mealworms) is just chicken feed and grit. I haven’t put anything in their water either. I was wondering if I should start putting stuff in their water, and feeding them other things...
I just got 4 chicks about 3 weeks ago. Three of them are showing good development in tail, wing, and in their comb. However, one of them seems to have different wings, less of a comb, and little to no tail. He/she is a Bovan Brown. They are all the same age. I think this might be a rooster, but...
