Hi! I'm looking either for feedback on or for a copy of the book, "Silkies and Silkie Bantams" by Van Dort.
It's fairly expensive and looks like it may be a one-time read. I'm hesitant to buy it for that price and then have buyer's remorse. Any Silkie breeders out there who want to chime in...
I wondered how many of you out there actually eat your duck eggs, or if you prefer the taste of the chicken eggs? I am mildly allergic (gives me the itchies) to chicken eggs, so I can eat them, but not much and not often.
I am sick of doing egg replacers and heard that duck eggs bake up...
So a chicken and a pig decide to go into the restaurant business together. The chicken said they should each contribute for the good of the business.
The only problem is that for the chicken it's a donation, for the pig it's a sacrifice!
My black copper maran roo chick has a small, hard, blister-looking thingy right on the bottom of his beak. ( if the underside of his beak makes a V, it's right near the tip.)
