    Quail and chickens. . .

    No I do not have quail and chickens together, but my chickens freerange and we have wild California quail everywhere. I have hear of the many sad outcomes, but the quail run around with the chickens and nothing has happened yet. Why is this? Is it because we live in Washington? Thanks!

    Over due peahen eggs, how can I tell if they are still alive?

    We got 2 peahen eggs that seemed fully developed the last time we candled. . .they are on day 29, but no pips, nothing. What can I do without harming the egg to see if there is still something alive in there? Thanks!

    Has been a pip for now 13 hours, should I be worried?

    We have two turkey eggs that are due today, but pipped yesterday and have been the same way for now 13 hours. I know it can take 24 hours to hatch. . .but still. Should I check on the eggs? Should I help out? Thanks

    Saving wild quail eggs. . .

    I have no idea what kind of quail eggs we have, but we have 4 of them. I live in Washington so maybe that will help me figure out what kind they are.     What to use for cracked turkey egg?

    I feel awful, I was just candling some of the 8 day old turkey eggs and one just slipped. It didn't crack to bad, but I don't want to risk it and it has huge veins. . .What can I use to help or save it? Do I just throw it away? Thanks
