I’m new to chicken keeping … my three Rhode Island red pullets seem healthy and happy as can be , they eat their food well and drinking water in this Carolina heat . They still will not eat any fruits or berries or vegetable scraps. They are 17 weeks old .
While cleaning out their coop...
Last night my 15 week old pull it was acting totally normal.
This morning she will not eat when we went out to feed them,
She was going off by herself in the coop and sleeping. … she is however drinking water well . She wants to be near her sisters but I have her in a dog crate in the coop...

I’m still learning so sorry for dumb questions … my pullets have been here 3 weeks … we bought them as 11 week olds from a guy who kept them in a pasture …
..they now have a nice little producers pride predator proof coop and 10 ft run.
They free range only when I’m with them - they don’t...

I’m new chicken mamma ….. my 13 week old pullets are all “itching down to where the skin is and the feathers start . I have noticed some baby fluffy feathers lying around. Is this normal? Or could they have mites? And what treats mites ? They are otherwise eating and drinking fine . Thanks :)
