So my 5 new bantam hens spent a few days sequestered in their new coop, and today were allowed to venture out into the rest of their enclosure. I went out to check on them when I got home tonight, and 2 of the 5 (the Japanese and the D'Anvers) acutally managed to go back up the ramp and into the...
Not sure where exactly to post this question, but does anyone make bantam egg cartons? I've seen quail egg cartons, but those are too small for bantam eggs, right?
The EE has MUCH more comb than the others, and it's quite red. The chick is a little feistier than the others, too. It's also really hard to get decent pix!
This SLW has a comb, and the others have NOTHING at all so far. It's not red, tho.
Thoughst?

A neighbor put an old kids' sandbox out on the curb, so I grabbed it for a dustbath my hens! I was planning on using sand and DE, and wondering if that's good? Or should I use loose soil and DE? Or something else...? Any input is appreciated!
I am so thrilled with my EE chicks! My older girls are both the brown partridge, so when I picked out the EE chicks this year I grabbed 4 that were way different from mine as chicks. They're about 5 weeks now, and look what they've grown into!!!
This is what my 2 older girls look like. This...
A friend's relative is relocating to the city and had a bunch of bantams she needed to rehome. I'd always been interested in little ones, so I got a few! (Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of the breeds!)
Japanese- She's beautiful, but a little psycho!!

So I bought some chicks at Rural King a few weeks ago. 4 EE's, 4 Silver-laced Wyandottes, and 2 "buff Orpingtons." Well, the "buff Orps" are black w/gold streaks, so wondering if anyone can identify what they actually are?
