    Hope this is a deterent for any raccoons....

    Today is the first day/night for our 8 four week old pullets in their new coop. Jake our coon dog is willing to keep the wild life out of the coop. I'm just hoping he will behave himself! The girls are locked inside the coop. Hopefully all will go well tonight.

    Chicken math got us!

    The plan was to get 4 grown hens, then it changed to get 4 pullet chicks, then 6 chicks....DH came home with 8!!! He had already started building the coop for 4 and is now having to double the size! Tonight I mixed starter with some water and had them eating out of my hand. They are so cute!
