Egg in the brooder!

I just came downstairs....haven't even had my first sip of coffee yet. My DH walks over to the brooder full of 3 week old pullets and starts staring in wonder as he says, "EGG!"

I'm giving him the "look" as I'm trying to process why/how there could be an egg in in the brooder....when I suddenly realized it was April Fool's Day!!

Two of the chicks in our brooder are 10 weeks old, so my husband might fall for it. He has no idea when they are supposed to start laying (though I have told him probably not until June).
