So they are "supposed" to be Amerucuana's or however you spell it but I know they probably aren't true ones that they are actually EE'ers. I have some guesses but I'm HORRIBLE at guessing.
Chick #1 (roo?)
Chick #2 (roo?)
Chick #3 (roo?)
Chick #4...
Conveniently needed chicken food the other day at the start of chick days. Hubby stupidly sent the kids and I yea we didn't leave with just chicken food lol. Went back again today they had cayugas was soooo tempted.
Need to take better pics but that's what I have so far.
Black Swedish?? Someone emailed me asking if we'd take her and we are hoping to add her to our family but just wondering what exactly she is.
Also we currently have 3 ducks a mallard and 2 khaki campbells. It appears the mallard is a girl as the head never turned green, and we THINK we have 1...
We just got this beautiful bluish green egg from our coop and we aren't sure who layed it. We know its not our big girls as they lay brown so it either came from our silkies or our duck but it seems very small to be a duck egg... I saw that silkies are capable but that it is rare for them to...
Our female mallard recently was dinner for a mean ole fox :*( our children are devastated and we'd like to replace her as her sister is missing her a whole lot as well. Doesn't matter male or female would prefer a mallard as the remaining one is a mallard but would be grateful for whatever duck...
My children (3 and 5) are absolutely devastated as are we. One of our duckies was missing all day and it was unlike her as she's always by her sisters side. As I was sitting upstairs working on some things I thankfully had the window open to hear the commotion outside. When we arrived we found...
So you guys confirmed I have mallards. Any guessing yet on the sex of these two (I'm hoping for a boy and girl so we can have babies). I know the one quacks and I think the other is more of a raspy quack but I'm really unsure so don't base your guesses on that lol. Thanks bunches!!
I'm sure its a longshot for sex but place your bets. I know most are silkies of some sort but 2 black ones confuse me especially cause they look like the other one but don't have feathered legs. Sorry not best pics they are buggers to catch. Duck guesses are welcome too.
No feathered legs...
So we got some duckies this year (never have had them before) and absolutely adore them they are just too cute. When we bought them they said they were Mallards they think since they weren't yellow chicks like the pekins usually are. So now their wing feathers have come in they both have 2...
Hi I'm new here but not to raising chickens we've had rhode island reds, golden comets and white ones (blocking on name lol). But we went to TSC for some duckies and came home with chicks too. Never done bantams before always stuck to the sexed pullets and wondering what kind we have. Sorry some...
