    Which are hens and roos?? 7 and 8 weeks old please help

    I trying to learn how to tell the difference between Roos and Hens Can anyone please help me the are Austrolorp x leghorn and are 7 and 8 weeks old. I have attached photos of 4 chickens 2 white ones that i think maybe one hen one rooster and 2 greyish ones one hen and one rooster.

    Heating problem

    The power went our and blew the globe. What is the min and max watt glob i can use and does it have to be a red globe. The little chicks are okey at the moment I had to move them to a warm room and they are snuggled up. Can I use a normal lamp in the mean time for a little bit of warmth?

    Chick likes to sleep on back (Pic included)

    So cute I think it is just that it gets a bit unstable so when it ends up on it's back it just goes to sleep. One of my favs as i had to help it out beacuse it was nearly 48hr and hadn't gotten far with hatching and went quiet. Now full of energy and very cute

    Poo stuck on baby chicks help please

    On a few of our chicks only about 5 day old ones their poop is stuck on them does anyone know what woild be causing it? Could it be if the are eating the shredded pine?

    Cord still attached what do I do???

    On one of the baby chicks the cord is still attached beteen the chick and the egg it is all dry though. it is churping away and trying to move around do I just cut it?

    Yay finally started hatching

    So happy first time hatching 3 days late before they started to hatch but 4 hatched yesterday and another 2 early this morning, I hope more will still hatch. Was getting worried they wouldn't. They are so cute Thank You everyone for your help

    Finally starting to hatch 3 days late is this okey?

    Yesterday 2 of the 12 eggs the chicks are starting to peep, so cute hearing them all night churping away. I hope the rest hatch they day 21 was Friday but thay only started Sunday late afternoon is this still okey?
