What gender are these Easter Eggers?

They are 13 weeks old. I thought pullets for awhile because their combs are dull and small, but their tail growth is worrying me that they are Roos. There are three- the partridge colored ones.

How to tell different between rooster and hen Swedish Flower hens?

I am going to look at one, hoping to get a hen. Seller thinks it is a hen, but is there a good way to know? It is about 5 months old. Anyone have a pic of hens and roosters that age so I can see the difference? Thanks!

Ameraucanas and Easter Egger Roosters in Central South WI

These are beautiful and big roos! Black Ameraucanas and one Buff Ameraucana, and one Buff Easter Egger. The black are 12 weeks old and the buffs are 14 weeks old. They are great fellows, very protective of the girls, but do not attack or bite people.

How long after a hen has been with a rooster ....

... Can she lay fertilize eggs? We are getting some new hens today, and I don't know if they have 'been with' roosters. We were told one of the new hens has been broody for awhile this spring. Just wondering if we let her set on them we could get some chicks?

What would I get crossing different colored Ameraucanas?

Maybe a stupid question, but if we have buff and silver hens, and buff and black roosters, what baby chicks could we see? Would they all be one colored or would you get mixed color babies?

    Hens or Roos? Ameracauna/EEs

ETA: I think this one might be a pullet- do you think? And I think this buff is a pullet, but not an Ameraucana because of the legs. What would it be? Thanks again! We have 8 total- the black are about 12 weeks, and the buff about 14 weeks. Our guess is that we have mostly Roos? -...

    Cute Chick Story...

Our 5 babies (buff orps) are about 6 weeks old. We've had their run finished for a few weeks now, but the coop has taken longer due to the bad weather here. For the last few weeks we have been putting them in the run during the day, and hauling them back to the brooder at night. One evening...

    How heat tolerant are chicks?

I did my research regarding heat lamps and chicks, so I know how warm they need to be, but how warm is too warm? My BO chicks are 5 weeks old and I have started putting them out in the coop during the day, but today is supposed to be 95 and humid. Should I put them back in the brooder in the...
