    I just noticed. one of my chickens chest is quite distended like baseball sized,,, I did have a chicken once have an engorged crop but this dosent seem like that because it seems soft not hard. didn't seem to bother her me touching her..and I will whatch her more closely but I hadn't noticed any...

    henno....canning meat really is worth it... ok it does get tender...but not grouse...i can just open a jar and start munching is that good...just pack some meat in a jar...and pop in the pressure canner..and it steaps in its own juices....you can't water wath meat... some people braise there...

    What i would say......it is good to pick up so it will be friendly and know you...but i have found with roosters...the most important thing is to let it know you are boss...don't backdown to the behaviour, stand up to it...and chances are it won't do it again for a while... your roo is just too...

    I just read that you can dry can all your dry goods put all your dryed good in jars and put in the oven at 300 for an hour... has anyone ever tryed this???? said food is good for 20-30 years... for me the times jars haven't sealed is if i put in a bit to much liquid and it is past the proper...

    betty that is very good to know I can refreese...i will keep that in mind I have just decided to cook it up and it is in the oven now....i like the idea of making turkey sausages...should try that... Are there any particular spices you add that work well??? Oregan Blue...i absolutely...
