Aye, the Uk Chocolate is Sex linked.
Which was why Chocolate Male Orp Bantams were fetching £500 to £800 at one point.
Now with a lot more being bred, the price has come down to £50 to £300 (www.bid4poultry.co.uk this is a UK auction site for poultry so sadly won't be of use for USA buying but...
He's only a young bird about 20/22 weeks. That bit sticking out his leg is his spur.
I'll get some feet pics.
But yes, he dosen't seem to have much in the way of leg feathering, but does have loads of feather beds. so wether these have been pulled out or he's just growing them back in, I wait to...

Sadly that can't be done, The flocks all eggs are coming from would need to be vet checked and approved. Also I think that I would have to have random eggs tested aswell. But should know more in the next few days.
Have to phone my vet back tomorrow to find out how much the Vet Visit would cost to health check all my birds. And DEFRA are sending me out all the paperwork aswell.
I'm sure if wanted, I could be able to do this around end of spring/Summer. When my birds are in full lay.

Hatching can be a very stressfull time.
Get yourself a nice cup of tea or coffee and relax.
It will happen, some chicks can take up to day 24 to hatch. So give them time.

i wouldn't sugest oatmeal as it's not really that good for chicks.
Baby rice might help if you can get it.
With regards to the chick wellbeing, please don't think me harsh but I seriously don't think it has much of a chance. if it has a deformed head, as it grows more problems with development...

we have Coxoid and Baycox in the UK.
Blood in stools indicates Cocci. It can be fatal and spreads rapidly.
Make sure that the chickens don't come into contact with the poo so if you can make a raised mesh floor to do this. Don't let them out as they could contaminate the ground, best to keep...
